About the project

The works involved the removal and disposal of approximately 1,488m² of existing asphalt, followed by the excavation and removal of the existing sub-base.

Approximately 300 tonnes of DGS40 was supplied and installed at a thickness of 150mm and compacted to 100% standard compaction. A total of 1,488m² of AC10 asphalt was then supplied and installed at a thickness of 40mm.

The existing handball court line markings were reinstated, and timber edging and seating were supplied and installed throughout the space to provide additional amenities for students.

The project delivered a durable and revitalised playground area, providing students with a safe, functional and long-lasting recreational space.
