About the project
The project involved the reinstatement of an existing fire trail to ensure compliance with the NSW Fire Trail Design and Construction Maintenance Manual. Works included reshaping the subgrade to achieve appropriate formation levels and facilitate adequate surface drainage and overland water flow.
The fire trail surface was then reinstated using imported 75–150mm crushed sandstone, which was evenly spread, compacted, and finished to the required design levels.
The completed trail provides a durable and accessible route suitable for CAT 1 fire truck access, supporting ongoing fire management and emergency response operations.
